My Thank You, You’re Welcome Here Page

WOW! Am I pleased that you decided to come to this page! Sitting at the keys tapping away and hitting send, only to have words fly away into cyber-space, is a lonely proposition if no one catches them in mid air at the other end.

Memorial Day 2008

Memorial Day
At the chicken place downtown
No beach
No barbecue
Just plenty of sunshine
And revered memories
Of those who fell in times of war
Macaroni and cheese and a can of Coke
Gratitude for freedom in the boring quiet
Of a holiday week with a double Sunday
No bombs going off
No fires raging
Peace because men fought and died
To insure it

(C) 2008 Beth NoLastName

Its in the quiet spaces between the busy times in life, that gratitude has a chance to blossom. Without times to pause and appreciate, life loses value. The more often I pause, the more I can appreciate, I am the richest person I know! I wish that for you.
